At Coco Loco Wellness, we believe caring for ourselves and caring for the world around us should go hand in hand.

Papua New Guinea is home to extraordinary forests, oceans, islands, gardens and communities. Nature isn't an abstract idea to us—it is part of where we live, where our ingredients come from and what inspires our brand.

We know we are not perfect.

But we believe sustainability is about making better choices, learning as we grow and being intentional about what we buy, make, package and sell.

ROOTED IN PLACE

Our sustainability journey begins at home.

We want to celebrate the natural resources, ingredients, knowledge and creativity found across Papua New Guinea while creating opportunities for local suppliers and producers wherever possible.

From locally sourced ingredients to products inspired by our tropical environment, we look for ways to keep more of the value of our business connected to our communities.

Supporting local doesn't always mean everything we sell is produced locally. We source selectively from PNG and from trusted partners beyond our shores when a product or ingredient isn't available here.

For us, transparency matters.

Wellness should not mean constantly buying more.

We encourage thoughtful consumption—choosing products that are useful, enjoyable and made to be part of your everyday life.

We would rather help you discover a few products you genuinely love than encourage unnecessary consumption.

Our goal is to build a wellness business around quality, usefulness and intention.

MINDFUL SOURCING

When selecting products and ingredients, we consider more than just how something looks or sells.

We consider:

• Where it comes from
• What it is made from
• How useful it is
• How it is packaged
• Whether it can be sourced responsibly
• Whether there is a local alternative
• The longevity and practicality of the product

As a growing business, our sourcing practices will continue to evolve.

PACKAGING WITH PURPOSE

Packaging protects products—but it also creates waste.

We are working towards packaging choices that use materials thoughtfully and avoid unnecessary layers wherever practical.

Where possible, we look for packaging that can be reused, recycled or repurposed.

We are also continually reviewing our packaging sizes and materials to find a better balance between product protection, presentation, cost and environmental impact.

Our aim is simple:

Less unnecessary packaging. More thoughtful packaging.

LOCAL FIRST

Whenever practical, we look for opportunities to work with Papua New Guinean suppliers, producers, growers, makers and service providers.

Local sourcing can help reduce unnecessary transport, support local enterprise and keep economic value within communities.

It also allows us to tell better stories about where our products come from.

We believe the future of wellness in Papua New Guinea should include more locally grown, locally made and locally owned businesses.

RESPECTING NATURAL INGREDIENTS

Nature provides many of the ingredients that inspire Coco Loco Wellness.

Coconut. Cocoa. Turmeric. Botanicals. Plants. Fruits. Seeds. Oils.

We believe these resources should be valued—not treated as limitless.

We therefore aim to source thoughtfully and work with suppliers who can provide appropriate information about the origin and quality of the ingredients we use and sell.

Where we cannot verify a sustainability claim, we won't make one.

REDUCING WASTE

Waste reduction starts with small decisions.

We aim to:

Order thoughtfully
We monitor demand so we can avoid unnecessary overstock and product waste.

Reuse where appropriate
We look for opportunities to reuse packaging and business materials where hygiene and product safety allow.

Choose practical quantities
We offer different sizes where appropriate so customers can choose what they actually need.

Create before we discard
Where ingredients or materials can safely be transformed into another useful product, we look for opportunities to do so.

FOOD & WELLNESS

Because Coco Loco began with food, reducing food waste is especially important to us.

We believe food deserves respect—from the people who grow it to the people who prepare and eat it.

We aim to make thoughtful purchasing decisions, manage stock carefully and find practical ways to reduce unnecessary food waste.

Wellness shouldn't come at the expense of wasting good food.

OUR SEA, OUR LAND

Papua New Guinea's relationship with the ocean is central to our identity.

Our seafood and coastal products connect us directly to the marine environment and the communities that depend on it.

We recognise that healthy oceans are essential for healthy communities and future generations.

As Coco Loco grows, we want to strengthen our understanding of responsible sourcing and support practices that protect marine resources rather than simply extracting from them.

PEOPLE ARE PART OF SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability isn't only about packaging and ingredients.

It is also about people.

We believe businesses have a responsibility to create respectful relationships with suppliers, employees, customers and communities.

We want Coco Loco Wellness to contribute to an economy where small businesses, local producers and creative people have opportunities to grow.

We are a growing Papua New Guinean business, and our systems are still developing.
